Torrey Pines Forest Project

Our group went to Torrey Pines State Reserve in Del Mar, CA. At Torrey Pines, there is a lot of evident of human impact. The area is protected, but it is also well trafficked by hikers, tourists, and those just enjoying a wonderful day in San Diego. There was a lot of vegetation in this area but also clear signs of beetles and other insects harming the trees. Also, the area seemed to be much dryer than last year due to the lower amount of rain storms this year.
