The Immense Overpopulation of Deer at the North Park Nature Center

Sydney G

My digital story is about the overpopulation of deer at the North Park Nature Center. The North Park Nature Center can only support about 1 deer, and about 50 are living there. It's tearing apart this deciduous forest because deer are secondary consumers, which means they only eat grass and shrubs. The deer are taking too much of the food that other animals need to survive. In my digital story, I dress topics which include, what a healthy forest is, invasive species at the NPNC, the trophic level of deer, the seasons in which deer thrive in, and what events are occurring with the deer now at the NPNC.
