Green Roofs in Chicago

Lila S

In Chicago, temperatures have been rising due to global warming and climate change, the trophic levels were changing because our urban wildlife is in need of a habitat, and in the big city, there isn't room for more urban forests. However, a solution to all these issues is creating gardens atop the cities high rises. Through research, I learned that the presence of plants in the atmosphere can provide oxygen and fix the over production of carbon made from fossil fuels burnt by cars, and provide a habitat for birds and insects within the city.
